Artifact AbstractionMedium: 2B-8B lead pencils on Stonehenge
Completed: July 2009 Original Size: 28” x 20” Description: At Cornell University’s Introduction to Architecture summer college program, each student received his or her own unique tool for observation purposes. One of our first drawing assignments with our tools was to do an abstraction their functions. My tool was a cheese knife, so I chose to illustrate the various motions made by the knife while it is being used. I made this possible by simply drawing the knives in a way which allows the eye to interpret and follow a few different paths through the drawing. |
